The Baronetcy of Brigges of Haughton was created in the Baronetage of England on 12 August 1641 for Moreton Brigges, (son of Humphrey Brigges and Anne Moreton) of Haughton Hall, near Shifnal, Shropshire.
His son the second Baronet was Member of Parliament for Wenlock in 1646 and High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1665. The fourth Baronet represented Shropshire, Bridgnorth and Wenlock. The latter's brother , the fifth and last Baronet was High Sheriff in 1747.
